I’m sure the T-8 sounds better than the TB-03. I wonder if they updated the ACB. I have both so need to compare them side by side. Might make for a good video.
Here’s a nice audio demo from 71 Collective…

Came across this while searching for tutorials. Nice chilled out track using the Roland J-6. But does anyone have any info on this Prismatic Spray (the unit in the middle). I couldn’t find anything on google.

Any J-6 users here? I just received mine and spent tonight trying to figure it all out. I might actually need to read the manual for once! 😂

I have the T-8 and J-6. If I’m honest I’ve only used the J-6 once since I got it in June. I really need to spend more time with it. It sounds great, but I was mostly planning on using it as a midi chord sequencer, need to try hooking it up to my other gear. The sequencer seemed a bit quirky to me on first try, will probably take some practice to get the best out of it.

Really enjoying it now after a few days with it. The chord sets are really well put together. I’ve been using it standalone so far and I want to try it as a MIDI controller but I’m not sure what is the correct MIDI adapter to buy. Any advice?

The MIDI adapters that come with the Elektron Model series are Type A so will work with the Roland T-8, J-6 and E-4. You can buy them on their website.

Thanks, I just ordered a couple. I also found that Roland (Boss) sell a TRS MIDI Type A cable but it’s quite long for my needs (1.5m) so prefer to get the adapter.
