My Digitone arrived a couple of hours ago. I can’t say I know exactly what I’m doing in terms of FM Synthesis yet, but I managed to make a few sounds and had a play with the arpeggiator to record some patterns. Are there any good tutorials out there to learn the FM sound design side of things?

This is a techno construction kit containing 128 analog, FM and digital samples including a wide selection of hard-hitting techno drums and synth sounds (kick, snares, claps, percussion, hats, cymbals, synth basses and synth leads). The samples are formatted in both mono (16-bit, 48kHz) and stereo (24-bit, 48kHz). Enjoy!

Akai Pro have released a Minimoog clone (called Mini D) for the MPC’s and the Force. Sounds really good and is 4-voice polyphonic. It’s a paid add-on though at $79 intro price.
They also updated the Force with some new effects, a tuner, probability and ratcheting. I don’t own my Force anymore but with all these updates and new instruments they keep rolling out I’m quite tempted to buy one again.

Check out Ivar Tryti’s channel. He’s done loads of Digitone sound design tutorials.
