Hey guys, I just wanted to share that the Donner B-1 can be powered by USB-C using a 9V PD USB-C adapter. I bought mine using AliExpress for a few dollars. I use a couple of 12V PD adapters for my Elektrons too. If anyone wants the link let me know 🙂

I’ve not heard of the Donner B1 Syn Bass before. Looks ugly but sounds quite good. Does anyone have one yet?

I’m actually quite tempted now to pick one up as I see you can now get them new for £99 and it looks like the sequencer is quite advanced. Did I read somewhere that there was an issue with the way slides work?

So they released a fix for the slide issue today so I went ahead and ordered one. As I said I don’t really need another TB-303 clone but I’m interested to try one.
If anyone is interested they have a 10% discount this Easter weekend using code EAG10 which takes the price down to £89 including shipping.

Looks like they’re releasing a drum machine to go with it. Similar level as the Model:Samples I reckon

Isn’t what as “good” as it could’ve been.
The queue was 45 minute long and it was jam packed inside.
It was the first one so there were bound to be problems.
They basically misjudged the amount of interest here in London.
They are already learning from this one and planning ahead for next year.-
Sounds like it was more popular than they expected, did you get to try and of the gear? Glad I didn’t go in that case, sounds like they need a bigger venue in future!

I did get to try some of guitar pedals but not many.
The two that stood out for me where Two Notes and Rainger FX.
Two notes had a guitar preamp with 64bit internal mixing with over sampling,
proprietary custom chips and their own reverb algorithms.
My guitar, an Epiphone WildKat, sounded super sweet through it.
Rainger FX had some rather quirky pedals on display including one they call
a “Minibar”, which needs liquid to work.
High conductive liquids create low gain, low conductive liquids create high gain
and one can change the tone by the amount or light it receives via a photo…Read More

Glad I didn’t go. From what I’ve heard there were a lot of people that just left the queue and went home disappointed.

I’ve not heard of it either. TBH they’re a bit late to the party as there’s so many cheap TB-303 clones already and it doesn’t seem to offer anything more than the others.
