The iLoud has excellent sound quality and a really low frequency range so you can hear sub bass frequencies. I would definately agree that it is a studio quality monitor. However, while It’s great for general studio use, sound design and just general jamming, the stereo field is very small (due to cones being close together) so you couldn’t mix with it. For that I tend to use headphones.

I really do love my iLoud though and couldn’t do without it. Infact I have two! The first one I bought when they were released in 2014, but I used it so much the rechargeable battery died a couple of years ago, so I immediately bought another one. The old one my wife now uses as a wired Bluetooth speaker for Spotify etc. So I guess if you’re buying one of these then you can expect the battery will last for 5 years of heavy use. I do plan on opening it up at some point and seeing if the battery is user replaceable. I wouldn’t let that side of things put you off though. I definitely got my 5 years of use out of it as I used it every day and highly recommend it!
