Polyend have released the Tracker Mini. Looks cute. No pads or jog wheel, but has more sample RAM and bigger CPU, and can handle stereo samples. I’m interested but it’s $700 (same price as the desktop version) which honestly seems a bit pricey to me.

He didn’t actually seem to be all that impressed with the Tracker Mini, but nice to have some more demos finally. Seems like it’s been a long wait on this one. I do agree with what he says about the filter. I don’t know what it is about the Tracker but I never think it sounds that good when used with my other gear.

Or just call it the Roland Aira Compact group, then you don’t have to rename it every time they add another gadget to the lineup. 😃

Any opinions on the Roland S-1 Tweak Synth if I already own an SH-01A? Anyone own both? Which do you prefer?

I prefer the sliders on the SH-01A. Can easily see where the parameters are and easier to control. No effects though, but I just use with Digitakt delay/reverb.

Now the price has come down a bit I’m tempted. I already have the SH-01A (which I love) but the T-1 is more portable and it has the waveform drawing and built in effects. Will also be fun to pair it with the T-8!

I have the regular Tracker, which is great, although I don’t use it much. I’d consider the handheld version but the button layout looks awkward. I think I’ll wait and see some user feedback. I agree it’s also rather expensive for what it is.
